James Ha “Personal Transformation Programme”

During the 2017-2018 season James Ha did not score a single goal in the season leaving the club in two minds regarding the renewal of his contract.

The club took up the proposal for James to engage in the PTP Programme which proved to be a very good decision. The programme focuses on a two way process between the development coach and player. The personal transformation experienced by James inspired him to achieve the following accolades at the end of the 2018-2019 Hong Kong premier League season:

  • Top goal scorer at KC Southern District
  • Named in the HKFA Team of the Season
  • Recalled to the Hong Kong National Team
  • Rewarded with a new two year contract

Lau Hok Ming - “Raise Your Game Programme”

During the 2018-2019 Hong Kong Premier League Season Lau Hok Ming participated in the RYG programme involving position specific development training and ongoing mentoring throughout the whole season.

To avoid a mid-career plateau huge emphasis was placed on the “ICE” model to develop his technical and tactical ability, with lots of hours spent on video analysis. Hok Ming improved significantly throughout the season and began to fulfil his huge potential, he went onto achieve the following accolades:

  • Regular in the starting line up
  • Captain of the HK U23 National Team
  • Earned a 3 year contract at top budget team

Adrian Cheung – “Overseas Development Programme”

Adrian Chueng a young physically imposing striker with the raw materials to have a successful career in the game was sent to former Premier League Club Queens Park Rangers.

Adrian participated in the ODP Programme to finetune his development with specialist youth coaches with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

In a short period of time Adrian adapted to the intensity of training and made significant progress. Adrian was rewarded with a National Team cap for the Hong Kong U18 Team shortly after starting the training programme with the West London club.

Academy U18’s Players - “Position Specific Development Programme”

The U18’s at the club had a talented team full of players who had been at the club since the age of 11. An elite development group was created to nurture and enhance the transition to the next stage with the specifically tailored PSDP Programme.

The players received intense training sessions specifically focused around teaching them the core elements and fundamentals of the game. The players enjoyed a very successful season domestically helping the U18 Team win the League Title and FA Youth Cup.  Thanks to the undergoing of the specific development curriculum the following were achieved:

  • Five players Called up for the Hong Kong U18 National Team
  • Four players Signed their 1st professional contracts
  • Two players earned 1st team debuts in the Sapling Cup
  • All four players train with the 1st team on a regular basis
